Overview
AXIS Dental Laboratory ("AXIS", "we", "us") is an iOS app for managing a dental
laboratory's day-to-day work. It is used by two kinds of accounts: lab
staff/administrators and doctors. This policy explains what
information the app collects, why, and how it is handled.
We collect only what the app needs to function. We do not use advertising,
analytics, or tracking, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Information we collect
All of the following is collected solely to provide the app's features:
- Name — your full name, shown on your profile and on records you create.
- Email address — used to identify your account, sign you in, and send your one-time verification code.
- Clinic name & address — for doctor accounts, to identify the clinic on orders and visits.
- Phone number — where applicable, as a contact detail on your account.
- User account ID — an internal identifier that links your records to your account.
- Order, patient, and appointment information — the lab records you create and manage in the app (e.g. order details, patient names, measurement visits).
How we use your information
Your information is used only to operate the app, including to:
- Create and authenticate your account (including the email verification code).
- Create, display, and manage orders, patients, and appointments.
- Route work between doctors and lab staff and show the right records to the right account.
- Send in-app and push notifications about your orders and account activity.
What we do not do
- No ads We show no advertising.
- No analytics We do not run third-party analytics or behavioral tracking.
- No tracking We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- No selling/sharing We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own use.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on secured servers used to run the AXIS service. Access is protected by
authentication, passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes (never in plain text), and
access to records is restricted by role and ownership. Email delivery for verification codes
is handled by a standard email provider acting only on our behalf.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the
service. When an account is deleted, the account and its associated records are removed.
Your choices & rights
- Access & correction — you can view and update your profile details in the app.
- Deactivation — a lab administrator can disable an account, which blocks sign-in.
- Deletion — a lab administrator can permanently delete an account and its data. You may also request deletion by contacting us (see below).
Children's privacy
AXIS is a professional tool for dental laboratories and is not directed to children, and we
do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating
the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
